Deven Beaver MXW Wrestling Coach Youth Mishawaka

Coach Deven Beaver comes to MXW with high enthusiasm and energy for youth Wrestling. Coach Beaver has had past experience with multiple youth clubs, camps and organizations resulting in vasts amount of success for young wrestlers. In a short time, at the youth level, Coach Beaver has coached 50+ state placers, 15+ All Americans, 10+ state champions, as well as 4 National Champions. Not limited to just youth, Beaver has also been apart of success as an assistant at Penn High School coaching 16 State Qualifiers and 4 State Placers including a State Finalist. Coach Beaver also competed as an athlete for Ancilla College where he become the first ever tournament place-winner in school history. 

JIM RHOADS 

COACH

Coach Jim Rhoads comes to MXW with over 30 years of coaching experience. During this time period Coach Rhoads took leadership as Head Coach, as well as an assistant, at various well respected High School Programs. While at the high school level Rhoads coached double digit IHSAA State Placers and Multiple State Champions, this was all highlighted by the 2015 IHSAA Team State Championship while serving as an assistant at Penn High School. Coach Rhoads also competed at the NCAA DI level for University of Toledo.

DANIEL LEWIS

COACH

Daniel Lewis MXW Youth Wrestling Coach Mishawaka

Coach Daniel Lewis comes to MXW after a Graduate Assistant Coaching stint at Purdue University from 2019-2021.. During his two-year span at Purdue, Lewis coached 15 National Qualifiers, as well as 5 individuals who were recognized as NWCA All Americans during 2020. Before traveling to Purdue to coach, Lewis competed in his home state for University of Missouri, accomplishing one of the greatest careers in school history and amassing some of the best accolades of any coaches in the area. After becoming a 4X State Champion in high school, Lewis would go on to become 4X MAC Champion as well as a very rare 4X NCAA All American. Coach Lewis was also recognized as the MAC’s “Freshman of the Year” in 2016, as well as winning the “Gorrarian Award” in 2019 for the most falls of any wrestler in the National Tournament. Coach Lewis also ranks 2nd all time in school history for Missouri with an astounding 53 falls.
